WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1.1 Import Operations
- Handle end-to-end import activities including documentation, shipment tracking, and coordination with overseas suppliers.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of FMCG consignments at ports/airports.
- Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
1.1.2 Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and manage import documentation such as Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Insurance, FSSAI, BOE, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, FSSAI, Legal Metrology, and other applicable regulations.
- Track duty structure, HS codes, customs valuation, and applicable exemptions.
1.1.3 Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with international vendors for shipment schedules, documentation accuracy, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Purchase, Finance, Quality, and Warehouse.
- Follow up with authorities and agencies for inspection, sampling, and approvals.
1.1.4 Cost & Payment Management
- Monitor import costs including freight, duties, demurrage, detention, and other charges.
- Coordinate with Finance for duty payments, vendor invoices, and reconciliation.
- Work on cost optimization and timely closure of shipments.
1.1.5 Tracking & Reporting
- Track shipment status and provide regular updates to management.
- Maintain import trackers, records, and MIS reports.
- Ensure proper filing and record retention for audits and compliance.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in import operations, preferably in FMCG or food products.
- Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and FSSAI norms.
- Hands-on experience with CHA coordination and customs clearance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation management.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Days: Monday through Friday
Time: 9:30 AM TO 6:30 PM
Saturday: 09:30 AM TO 02:00 PM
